For the buyer looking for sophistication, style and beauty, all wrapped up into a truly one of a kind vessel, then look no further!  Miss OSB encapsulates the essence of elegance, while offering performance unmatched in her class.  Designed by naval architect Charlie Jannace and built by Saint Custom Boats of Cape Coral, Florida, she was commissioned by Canadian forestry mogul Peter Grant to showcase a specialized, epoxy-sealed oriented strand board material in a luxury, high performance vessel.  While many said it was impossible and could not be done, Peter had a vision and wanted to prove to the masses that the very products his company manufactured could in fact be used to not only produce a vessel that was sea worthy, but also absolutely stunning to look at.  After over $3 million in research and development, Peter came up with a proprietary method to treat and finish the material using West System epoxy resin, transforming structural board into a high-gloss, marine-grade surface that could withstand all of the elements.  Peter's vision came to fruition and Miss OSB was born.  Total construction cost…over $10 million!

Less than 100 hours were put on the Caterpillar C32s before she was docked in the boathouse at Grant's mansion in Ontario, Canada.  Unfortunately, Peter's business ran into financial difficulties and had to close down.  The mansion was abandoned, along with Miss OSB.  Both were purchased by a Texas entrepreneur, and Miss OSB was moved to climate controlled indoor storage, where she has spent the last 15 years.  Now, offered up for sale and looking for her next owner, this is a once in a lifetime find and meant for those that truly want to stick out and have a great story behind their vessel!

Miss OSB was built taking the finest craftsmanship into consideration.  the vessel consists of modified OSB wood laminate with epoxy resin, 1708 structural fiberglass, West Systems epoxy resin, mahogany, and teak.  Forward raised trunk and cabin top are of OSB and painted.  Hull bottom and lower sides to the waterline are coated with white antifouling bottom paint and appears to be naturally finished.  Cabin sides, forward end of raised trunk, and the trim are naturally finished, with the top of the raised trunk and top of the cabin painted a cream color.  Decks are oiled teak, and the trim is varnished mahogany.  Swim platform is mostly of teak and oiled only.  Powered by twin Caterpillar C32s with Twin Disc/Doen driving water jets, she is putting out a serious 3,304HP, which can get her up to speeds of approximately 48 knots!  This is unreal for a vessel of this size and style.  The interior of the vessel consists of an anchor rode locker, followed by the owner’s cabin, a port side sanitary facility, a starboard side shower, the saloon, a starboard side galley, a port side sanitary facility, the lower steering station, starboard saloon and port upper galley, with an auxiliary machinery space located below, and the machinery space located below the aft deck.  Interior is sheathed with foam-backed vinyl sheathing and fiberglass in way of the overhead. Fiberglass, Formica, coated OSB, and solid wood in way of the sides, and with hardwood on the cabin sole except in the shower, where there is Corian-style surface.  Interior is heated and air conditioned.  The entire vessel is fully equipped with every amenity imaginable, including bow and stern thrusters, full electronics and digital displays (auto pilot, chart plotters, etc), fuel conditioner and oil changer, Onan generator, and more!

As part of the deal, the seller would love for the new owners to partake in filming of the vessel as part of a docuseries he is working on called “Mansion Impossible.”  The show consists of the rehabilitation of the Grant mansion and how it is being brought back to life after being abandoned for so many years.  Miss OSB played a big role in this endeavor and certainly is rich in its history.  I am happy to discuss this in more detail as needed.
