Spacious and practical interior with aft cabin, enclosed head with shower, and teak/holly sole

Clean deck layout with open cockpit, raised trunk cabin, flat foredeck

Turnkey cruising package including dinghy (2020) and outboard

Built in Rhode Island by Tillotson Pearson to a very high standard, this Freedom is a classic example of why the brand has earned such a loyal following. Designed by Gary Mull, Freedom Yachts were ahead of their time, most notably for their unstayed carbon fiber masts which reduce deck clutter, simplify sail handling and offer excellent performance and durability. This design is exceptionally well suited to shorthanded cruising on the West Coast.

The vessel is well equipped for coastal cruising through the Gulf Islands and San Juan Islands. The open cockpit aft provides excellent space for sailing and entertaining, while the raised trunk cabin and flat foredeck make moving about the boat safe and straightforward. The deck is incredibly clean and tidy, reflecting the simplicity of the Freedom rig.

Below decks, the interior is warm, functional and spacious with teak cabinetry throughout, a teak and holly cabin sole and ample natural light from large portlights. To port is a practical galley and settee, along with an enclosed head compartment complete with shower. To starboard is a proper navigation station, additional settee, hanging locker and access to the private aft cabin located beneath the cockpit. Forward is an enclosed cabin with a comfortable V berth and chain locker in the forepeak.

A Yanmar diesel propulsion engine is installed below the cockpit and companionway and was repowered in the late 2000s by a previous owner, offering dependable power for motoring and maneuvering. With generous tankage, cruising systems already in place and a dinghy package included, this Freedom represents a capable, distinctive and proven West Coast cruiser ready for her next adventure.
