Jeanneau's history began in 1957 with founder Henri Jeanneau building and winning a wooden powerboat race, leading him to use new fiberglass for production boats like the 1960 "Sea-bird," but it was in the 1970s that Jeanneau focused on cruising sailboats with iconic models like the Sangria, democratizing sailing with accessible, innovative designs, eventually becoming part of Groupe Beneteau and known for lines like Sun Odyssey and Cap Camarat

The Jeanneau Sun Odyssey 36.2, designed by Jacques Fauroux and launched around 1997/98, is a popular family cruiser known for its comfortable, well-appointed teak interiors, spacious cockpit, and versatile 2-3 cabin layouts with a distinctive wide aft cabin. Key specs include ~36 ft LOA, fiberglass build, fixed keel, wheel steering, Volvo/Yanmar diesel options, and accommodations for 4-6, offering a blend of cruising comfort and performance with modern styling.

This boat is a wonderful and easy boat to sail with all controls leading back to the cockpit. It is fast and can sail close to the wind with the deep keep keeping it on line easily. This boat ready to sail as is, with no upgrades required to make it sail ready.
